Welcome to the shiny new Nurse Jess Aesthetics blog!
I’m Jess, your Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, and I created this blog to educate my followers on skincare, beauty trends, injectables, and wellness, and share ALL things aesthetic!
I was introduced to my career in Aesthetics in 2017, while my passion for beauty and skincare far precedes my professional experience.
As a child, I was the neighborhood make-up artist with a caboodle full of crazy colored eyeshadows, butterfly clips, and glitter body gel giving all my sisters and friends “make-overs”. I wanted everyone to feel confident and as beautiful on the outside as they are in the inside.
I started wearing make-up daily in sixth grade, mostly to cover up my horrible acne. Pro-Active and Bare Minerals barely touched my inflammatory breakouts. It was a serious confidence killer. For a long time, I thought I was just born with “bad skin”. It was oily, acne-prone, red, and covered with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation( PIH). After my long battle with acne, I was stuck with scars and discoloration and on the make-up went to cover up these imperfections. For YEARS, I would not even walk to the mailbox without a full face of make-up in fear of someone seeing my real skin.
It was not until I discovered the benefits of medical-grade skincare that I found true confidence in my skin, bare or made-up. Now I can count on one hand the times I have put on a full face of make-up this year. I love my skin now and I want you to love yours too!
It’s not always easy, but I am here to make it as simple as possible for you to love and take care of the health of your skin. On my blog, you will find informational posts about skincare, injectables, and beauty products.
